Loved the unique concept of sleeping inside a bookshelf surrounded by books. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing local tips and speaking excellent English. The location was perfect, right by the Gion area and a short walk to the main train station. The hotel also had a great view of Kyoto and was centrally located for exploring the city.
The music played until midnight, but they provided noise-canceling ear muffs to help with that. There was also limited space to open luggage, which could block the path for others.
