I recently stayed at a unique and cozy hostel in Gion. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The capsules were surprisingly spacious and comfortable, and there were plenty of showers and washrooms available. The location was perfect, with supermarkets, subway stations, and city attractions within walking distance. The ambience was peaceful and the entire place had a lovely library theme. I highly recommend this hostel for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Loved the unique concept of sleeping inside a bookshelf surrounded by books. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing local tips and speaking excellent English. The location was perfect, right by the Gion area and a short walk to the main train station. The hotel also had a great view of Kyoto and was centrally located for exploring the city.

The music played until midnight, but they provided noise-canceling ear muffs to help with that. There was also limited space to open luggage, which could block the path for others.

This hostel provides top-notch customer service, with attentive and helpful staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. The convenient location allows for easy access to points of interest in the city. The quirky design, resembling a library, adds a unique touch to the accommodation. Additionally, the hostel offers a comfortable sleeping experience and a vast collection of books for guests to enjoy.

Although the hostel is mainly cashless, some guests would have appreciated prior warning about this policy.

I had the most magical experience at this unique hostel in Kyoto. The atmosphere felt like I was transported into a cozy bookstore after closing time. The breathtaking views of the city added to the charm. I spent my evenings lounging with one of the many books scattered around the room. The beds were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless. I appreciated the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this amazing hostel. It truly exceeded my expectations.

The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, with a great vantage point of the city. The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect, situated in a central area near the river, making it easy to explore the city.

The beds at this hotel were not very comfortable, especially for someone with a larger build. They were a bit too small and not very supportive.
